I just wanted to contact you and ask you to thank Ian again for us. Christian had his first match since his 1:1 session. WHAT A DIFFERENCE. His bowling was unrecognisable and he was the 'top performer' according to the coach, in batting and bowling. He has been following his drills and although has a long way to go has made such huge progress from where he was. We have been on courses and had 1:1's before but none have had such an impact.
Christian (11) & Maria Bryant - Kent
Simply, my session with Ian was fantastic. Ian is an amazing coach and mentor, and conducts himself with such a presence that everything he says is informative and fun, and more importantly really makes sense. I genuinely believe that with Ian’s help, some hard work and a few more valuable sessions I will be able to exceed my own expectations and goals!
Keith Baker - Essex
I had 3 sessions with Ian before the season started. I also bought his book and attended an ABSAT Coach Education course. I have to say its the best money I have ever spent on cricket. I had my best season ever and took more wickets than ever before. My action is so much more repeatable and its made my cricket much more enjoyable. Absolutely tremendous
Garry Adamson - Essex
Please pass on my sincere thanks to Ian for an incredibly useful session yesterday. My ‘new’ action feels so much more natural; as if every ounce of energy is now being channelled correctly…it just feels ‘right’. Ian not only identifies problems, but explains why they hinder an action. This makes it easier to visualise in your mind what you should be doing and therefore easier to put it into practice. I cannot recommend his approach highly enough
Kevin Barrow (36) - Essex
I would just like to thank both you and Ian for a visit which all of us regarded as an unqualified success. As a teacher myself I particularly liked Ian's manner with the boys, ensuring that the ones who were obviously less able weren't made to feel as if they were second class in any way. And all of us got something out of the session
Tim Wilkinson, Banchory CC Aberdeenshire
I have been working with Ian for eighteen months and during that time he has transformed my understanding of batting and bowling techniques. Ian provides highly enjoyable and challenging coaching sessions that always leave me motivated and excited about my cricket. Most importantly the technical knowledge that Ian has given me enables me to engage in highly effective personal practice between sessions
Catherine Dalton (17) Essex & Regional Super Fours
Ian understands me as a person and as a cricketer. He is always searching for long-term improvement rather than a quick, but less effective fix, which has helped my development in the long run. Not only has he helped with my bowling but also my batting a great deal by pushing me to my limits. He doesn’t just accepting my current level, but stretches me to maximise results in each individual session.
Bill Thorne (16) Herts U16 & South of England
Bill has really enjoyed the batting and bowling sessions. Ian makes him work hard but with a lot of fun. Bill’s batting technique and confidence have also come on greatly after sessions with Ian. Ian has a way of helping Bill understand what he has to do and why. It has helped Bill to understand his own game more, iron out weaknesses in his technique and take his batting and bowling to a new level.
Dave & Jackie Thorne - Herts
Not only does Ian have an impressive understanding of the biomechanics which make a bowler quick and accurate, he has the almost magical ability to simplify the changes that a player needs for improvement, and communicate those changes in a way that the player fully understands.
In just three sessions Ian improved my son's action, nailed it on, and then made it feel right. My son and I can't thank Ian enough for his help, the sessions were absolutely inspirational
Sam (14) and Tony White - Warwickshire
Hi Ian,
Firstly to thank you so much for doing the bowling camp for our players. It was an enormous privilege to have you do the coaching with the enthusiasm and patience that you showed especially to the younger children.
The feedback forms are now all in and needless to say, the overwhelming response was one of excellence. All the players thoroughly enjoyed it and I am already seeing improvements in technique. Three of the attendees are going to the County U12 trials this week and we hope to show some success there!
Best Regards
Kailash Dal, ICCA Nottingham
Ben has just finished his season and I am now able to work with him on the parts Ian helped him with. The video of the two-hour (1:1 coaching) session we have is invaluable. We have made some good progress and can really get to work now in the close season. The last session (with Ian) was awesome

Ian's two hour one to one session with my son was truly inspirational. He gave him confidence and a real purpose. His manner with Nick brought the best out in him. I haven't seen him bowl that quickly for some time. It has happened on the pitch too but more work is needed to finalise the changes
Nick (17) & Andy Gibbens - Somerset
Ian was absolutely amazing today. He sort of put Palash through his washing machine at 7 pm and produced a clean invigorated and sprucer version at 9 pm (bowling quicker and straighter).
That sums up our feelings. Palash is overjoyed. Ian also has this knack of making him feel so much at ease. Its almost like he is at play when with Ian. I can’t thank Ian enough. Palash had three back-to-back sessions with him in early April and went up two gears (speed and accuracy allied with a better action). We are really grateful for his help
Palash (15) & Arvind Joshi - Middlesex
Alex loves bowling fast and with Ian's help since Nov 06 has greatly improved his consistency, fluency and repertoire. Ian makes sessions fun as well as productive and with his help, Alex's batting has also come on leaps and bounds

The (group) session was extremely worthwhile, with the lads (and coaches!) leaving with a number of helpful pointers. Many had not experienced the biomechanical breakdown of their actions before and enjoyed discovering new things. Ian's style was comfortable, entertaining and informative and it was great to have him down for the clinic. Many thanks
Matt Banes, Master of Indoor Cricket @ Eastbourne College
Thanks for the last 2 days, it was excellent. We left each day with a real buzz. Will was really quite excited. He learnt a huge amount and it has given him a sense of purpose. Again, thanks very much. What a great way to learn
Will (13) & John Barrett - Herefordshire
Just wanted to let you and Ian know how impressed I was with the coaching that Ian gave Sean on Jan 2. Sean has never had any real guidance with the biomechanics of his bowling action. The techniques that Ian showed him were a revelation. Sean's concentration did not waver for the whole 4 hours (bowling & batting) - he feels that he can now bowl more effectively and is full of enthusiasm
Sean (13) & Paul Hicks - Aberdeenshire
Ian's analysis of William's bowling action and the way in which it can be improved were second to none and were all that I had hoped for. In two hours Ian identified the errors in his action and started the corrective drills to allow him to bowl with improved accuracy and speed.
As I mentioned during the coaching, William is not new to one to one sessions but yesterday was simply the most informative and educational that he has received. Whilst it will take time to correct his action he now understands what he needs to concentrate on. I know that he can't wait for the next session and is already practicing the drills that Ian showed him yesterday
William (12) & Martin Armstrong-Fox - Essex
Please pass on thanks to Ian for the session he did with Peter - practical, thought provoking and inspirational
