Book now for this year’s superb MCI International Cricket Camp in India. The camp will be held at the Bombay Gymkhana Club, an international ground that hosted the first ever India vs England Test Match and is steeped in glorious history. The MCI International Cricket Camp is for elite level players.
MCI Coach Andy McGarry will be working with WCA Coaches IPL coaches Monty Desai1 and Zubin Bharucha1 to bring you an outstanding 8-day camp of world-class bowling and batting coaching, which includes:
High-quality practice at one of the top facilities in India where world class internationals and first-class players train.

- 50-over matches
- T20 matches
- video analysis
- fielding practice and training
- grooving and drill work (specialist spin training)
- technical and tactical coaching
- progressive session work
- how to build an innings
- how to create and cope with pressure
- how to develop game plans
- what to do in a crisis, thought processes and solutions discovering how to maximise your talent
- how to shift momentum in a game
- how to cope with winning and losing
- how to be creative
- shot selection and shot execution
- how to bowl defensively and aggressively
- training and fitness
- plus much, much more
This means the camp will cover the 5 key areas for developing your talent - technical, tactical, physical, mental and lifestyle. It also gives you a fascinating insight into playing in Indian conditions.
The Camp is available to talented players aged 17 and over. (consideration will be given to exceptional players under 17)

You will depart on 1st December, arriving on 2nd December and the preliminary schedule will be as follows (subject to improvements and necessary changes):

Day Two: Fielding & Training session, video review AM / Sightseeing Trip PM
Day Three: 50-over Match at Bombay Gymkhana
Day Four: Nets AM / Nets PM
Day Five: 50-over Match at Bombay Gymkhana
Day Six: Video assessments reviews / lecture AM / Nets PM
Day Seven: T20 Match AM / T20 Match Bombay Gymkhana PM
Day Eight: Departure Day 10th: Depart AM from Mumbai International
The WCA based at Bombay Gymkhana Club is truly a professional centre of excellence that helps produce first-class players and is the host for TV show, Indian Cricket Star T20. The WCA is dedicated to working across all ages and standards of players to maximise their skill levels.
The Bombay Gymkhana Club is one of India’s leading private sports clubs which boasts badminton, football, snooker, hockey, rugby, squash, swimming pool and tennis, plus restaurants, gym, bar, juice bar and shops.
Accommodation is at the Astoria Hotel, Mumbai, an International Hotel with 72 rooms that overlooks the Arabian Sea and has extensive facilities, including a choice of international and local cuisine.
This outstanding combination of coaching, venue and accommodation mean we have limited spaces available for talented players who wish to experience the magic of Incredible India and gain a first-class cricket education.
The MCI International Cricket Camp in Mumbai includes all coaching, nets, matches, hotel accommodation, 3 meals per day, a local sightseeing trip, plus transfers to and from Mumbai international airport. Cost: £1200.
Airfare is not inclusive. A £200 deposit will hold your place, with the balance due 10 weeks prior to the camp. (more details on our booking form)
Coaches Information
Andy McGarry
Andy made his first-class debut with Essex in 1999 retiring in 2003 due to an injury. Recently played Minor Counties cricket for Suffolk.
Andy is an ABSAT (Advanced Bio Mechanics Speed & Accuracy Training) and MCI Coach who supports Ian Pont each year at the MCI Academy and regional Pace Bowling Workshops.
Ex- Essex CCC coach, qualified ECB Level 3 Staff Coach and ECB Tutor Coach. Andy coaches pace bowling, spin and batting and is an excellent tactical coach.
Mrugang Desai (known as Monty Desai)1
Development fast bowling coach for IPL team Rajasthan Royals. Monty assisted legendary WCA Coach shri Hanumant Singh to formulate the concept of WCA International Coaching Programme.
At WCA, Monty has coached visiting first class teams such as Essex CCC, Durham CCC, Surrey CCC, Middlesex CCC, Yorkshire CCC, Hampshire CCC, MCC, ECA Academy and NSW University.
Monty has also worked closely with a number of international coaches including Andy Flower, Alan Butcher, John Childs, Graham Gooch, John Emburey and Jonty Rhodes. Monty currently works with the Indian Premier League 2008 winners as part of an elite coaching squad.
Zubin Bharacha1
Zubin is highly regarded as a development coach by first-class and emerging teams. At WCA, Zubin has coached visiting county and international age group sides from all over the world.
Currently involved in coaching the Rajasthan Royals, Zubin was involved from the beginning and saw the Raj Royals go onto win the first Indian Premier League.
1 - As contracted to Rajasthan Royals, if Zubin or Monty become unavailable to coach for all or part of the MCI Camp, WCA will offer suitable high-calibre replacement coaches.
