Hello to the staff at Mavericks Cricket,
First of all I want to comment on how wonderful the Fast Bowler's Bible is.
My coach has similar views to yours and I am finally happy to say there is a
book concentrating on the biomechanics of the game, without over
complicating things. It is also exciting to talk about speed for once.
I am a part of an academy back home in Canada and a former under 23 National player. I am currently in England as an overseas player for a club.
I am happy to finally see a why and how solution and approach to many of the questions that I had.

Dear Ian, Thanks for sending the book. It is fantastic! I wish that this sort of book had been around when I was 10-12 years old (I was playing for West of Scotland) I know it is a busy time, but I would be very excited if I could sit in on one of your coaching sessions?
Best wishes, Asaf
I bought your book The Fast Bowler's Bible at the weekend and I would just like to say thank you a 1000 times for giving it to the bowlers the world over... your book is a God send

Hi Ian, Thoroughly enjoyed your book and have found it very useful. As a coach, I am always looking to improve my knowledge and style, this has added real value and created much "food for thought" It has certainly made me look at my quick's from a different perspective.

Ian, Congratulations on bringing the secrets of successful bowling into life. I just finished reading your book in three days. Boy, I can’t thank you enough for writing such an amazing book with simplicity. I am 35 and play club cricket in Dallas. I have been very inconsistent with my bowling. Applying a few core changes in my bio mechanics as formulated in the book, I am already seeing a substantial difference. You are the MAN! Regards, Huda
I have spent a fascinating and highly educational few weeks with the amazing "fast bowlers bible". I am halfway through my ECB level 2 courses and the book has been of immense help. My confidence has always tended to evaporate when faced with the technical side of bowling but the book has given me fresh impetus and crystalised an area of the game where I seriously lacked understanding. I am now looking forward to putting your theories into practice in 2007.
Incidentally - as well as the clear and concise explanations, and unlike many other sport related books, your publication reads extremely well. It all fits together in a linear way and is lovely and clear - rather like the best bowling actions in fact.
Yours in sport,
Piers McBride.
I thought you might like to know that I bought your book some time ago and my son (aged 13) quickly took possession of it. He reads it regularly and credits it with helping bowl a lot faster. So much so that his fellow team mates are now trying to avoid him in the nets. The ultimate accolade was when I asked him to show the book to the coach and he declined, saying that he did not want others knowing his secrets.

Hi Ian, Just read your book. Wow, what a read! I'm using it as a manual underlining the best bits in red ink. Ran out of ink in chapter 4! I'm a retired golf pro and enjoy the technical side of sport. I think your book is fantastic as it makes such common sense...look forward to meeting you in the future and once again congratulations on a fantstic book.
Best wishes John Powell |
