Coach Education ABSAT Courses
We are delighted to offer bespoke club and school Coach Education ABSAT Courses, designed to enhance coaches’ knowledge, skills and technique.
Courses will demonstrate the unique ABSAT (Advanced Biomechanics Speed and Accuracy Techniques) for pace bowling, founded by Ian Pont and taught to county and international players. These drills explain how to bowl faster, straighter and more accurately. And coaches find these drills invaluable when enhancing actions, correcting bowling errors and generally making actions safe and repeatable.
Attendees will learn the ABSAT drills first-hand from Ian Pont, review video demonstrations and work through well known bowling ‘mistakes’ in this interactive course.

How to host an ABSAT Coach Education Course
- Minimum of 6 coaches (can host up to 20 coaches)
- Cricket Nets (preferably indoors, to accommodate viewing
video footage) - 3 hour slot
ABSAT Presentation Evening
Alternatively, Ian Post can host an ABSAT Presentation Evening for your coaches and players. This takes the form of a 2 – 3 hour presentation/talk, with video demonstrations, covering the ABSAT drills and techniques. The evening will be extremely informative, lively and open to discussion.
All you need to host an ABSAT Presentation Evening is:
- Any number of coaches/players are able to attend
- Indoor room for presentation style meeting
- Choice of 2 or 3 hour presentation slot
